The first prison scene shows a man getting slapped which is a sign of violence which tells us the movie is going to be violent. And in this scene there is a lot of dim lighting used which tells is us that its a very dark movie that does not have a lot of happy/jolly scenes.
Then later on we see the weapons being made in the prisons as people try and fight in groups which gives us the impression that the movie is about gang wars in and out of prison. Then you see a lot of money being counted then there is a quick movement to a new scene where you see drugs being exchanged which tells you that the movie is also about fights about drugs and money.
The gangsters are then shot at a low angle looking up which made them look bigger and gave them a sense of power. However in the scene where they are made to lie down on the ground so they could be put in hand-cuffs they are shot from a high angle looking down to give them a sense of weakness over the people putting them in handcuffs. And seeing as there are handcuffs used it also shows that the movie has police a lot of police intervention even when they are outside prison.
There is then a lot of fighting and violent scenes which in conclusion tells us that the movie is a thriller.
